With the slogan “The roar of the tiger, the call of unity is the voice of our soul,” a new committee has been formed for the Khulna District Association at University Of Rajshahi (RU). Md. Naeemul Hasan Khan has been elected as the president, and Ishrat Firoz Ifti has been elected as the general secretary of the newly formed committee.
\nThe new committee was announced on January 17, 2025 (Friday) during the “Freshers’ Welcome, Farewell Ceremony, and Cultural Night 2025” event, which was held at ‘Nanking Darbar Hall’ in Rajshahi. The announcement was made with the consent of the association’s alumni, faculty members, and advisory board.
\nThe other members of the newly formed committee include Vice Presidents Debu Das and M. M. Mashruf Alam, Joint General Secretaries Md. Taiyebur Rahman Sheikh and Ajay Singh, Organizing Secretaries A. K. M. Rafael Alam Tamo and Faisal Alam, Treasurer Farhana Akter Yuthi, and Publicity Secretaries Shahabur Khan and Airin Afruz.
\nAt the beginning of the program, deep condolences were expressed for the untimely passing of University\u2019s Bangla Department Associate Professor and the Advisory Member of Khulna District Association, Professor Dr. Purnojit Mahalder, in a road accident. A minute of silence was observed in his memory.
\nProfessor Dr. Ruksana Begum, in her formal declaration of the new committee, said,<\/div>\n

“We aim to create a strong platform by bringing together the advisory board, alumni, faculty, and students. We expect the members of the Khulna District Association to play a pioneering role not only in the organization but also in every welfare activity of society.”<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
\nThe lifetime advisor of the association and CEO of Nanking Group, Ehsanul Huda Dulu, said,<\/div>\n
\n
“Wherever the people of Khulna are, they will stand by each other\u2014that is our tradition. By staying united, we will be able to overcome all kinds of challenges. I will always be there for any need in Khulna.”<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n
\nThe outgoing president, S. M. Tahmid Hasan, presided over the event, which was also attended by: Professor Dr. Ruksana Begum (Department of Accounting and Information Systems), Professor S. M. Shahinul Islam (Institute of Biological Sciences), Professor Dr. Moha. Belal Hossain (Department of Arabic), Professor Dr. Mursida Ferdous Binte Habib (Department of Psychology), Md. Rakibul Islam (Assistant Professor, Department of Banking and Insurance), Kashfia Reza Tanvi (Assistant Professor, Department of English, RUET), among others.
\nIn addition, the event was graced by guests such as TIB\u2019s Area Coordinator Md. Monirul Haque, Lifetime Advisor of the Khulna District Association and Zonal Sales Manager of Orion Home Appliances Limited, Md. Tanveer Ahmed, and other distinguished individuals.
