With the slogan “The roar of the tiger, the call of unity is the voice of our soul,” a new committee has been formed for the Khulna District Association at University Of Rajshahi (RU). Md. Naeemul Hasan Khan has been elected as the president, and Ishrat Firoz Ifti has been elected as the general secretary of the newly formed committee.
The new committee was announced on January 17, 2025 (Friday) during the “Freshers’ Welcome, Farewell Ceremony, and Cultural Night 2025” event, which was held at ‘Nanking Darbar Hall’ in Rajshahi. The announcement was made with the consent of the association’s alumni, faculty members, and advisory board.
The other members of the newly formed committee include Vice Presidents Debu Das and M. M. Mashruf Alam, Joint General Secretaries Md. Taiyebur Rahman Sheikh and Ajay Singh, Organizing Secretaries A. K. M. Rafael Alam Tamo and Faisal Alam, Treasurer Farhana Akter Yuthi, and Publicity Secretaries Shahabur Khan and Airin Afruz.
At the beginning of the program, deep condolences were expressed for the untimely passing of University’s Bangla Department Associate Professor and the Advisory Member of Khulna District Association, Professor Dr. Purnojit Mahalder, in a road accident. A minute of silence was observed in his memory.
Professor Dr. Ruksana Begum, in her formal declaration of the new committee, said,

The outgoing president, S. M. Tahmid Hasan, presided over the event, which was also attended by: Professor Dr. Ruksana Begum (Department of Accounting and Information Systems), Professor S. M. Shahinul Islam (Institute of Biological Sciences), Professor Dr. Moha. Belal Hossain (Department of Arabic), Professor Dr. Mursida Ferdous Binte Habib (Department of Psychology), Md. Rakibul Islam (Assistant Professor, Department of Banking and Insurance), Kashfia Reza Tanvi (Assistant Professor, Department of English, RUET), among others.
